Outside Sales Specialist - Tennessee

IMS Company is a leading industrial distributor for the plastics manufacturing industry, proudly serving customers since 1949. We are an Ohio based Company and our growing sales have led to a demand for a salesperson based out of our Chicagoland and a salesperson based out of Tennessee. We already have a healthy customer base in the Chicagoland and in Tennessee; we need the expertise of two salespersons to continue building and satisfying these relationships. The ideal candidates will have a dynamic sales background, technical aptitude, ability to travel frequently within the sales territory and thrive on forming new relationships to increase both our sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Job Functions:

  • Services existing accounts, enhances relationships with current customers to increase sales. Establishes new accounts by planning, organizing, researching and networking.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial sales, plastics experience a distinct plus.
  • Customer Service, Presentation, and Negotiation Skills.
  • Meeting Sales Goals, Closing Skills and Territory Management.
  • Computer proficiency, including Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Organized, polished and professional demeanor.
