| #1 High quality steel. |
Unlike some nozzle suppliers who use lower grade re-sulfurized or pre-heat
treated steels that tend to chip and/or fail prematurely, we use only premium
quality steels for all of our nozzle components. For one piece style nozzles
and nozzle tips, we use H13 for its hardness, toughness and thermal fatigue
resistance. For removable tip style nozzle bodies and thread adapters, we use
vacuum heat treated 4140 alloy steel for its strength. |
| #2 Quality control. |
We insist that every bar of steel is inspected and thoroughly tested. |
| #3 Machining. |
Our nozzles are made in a state-of-the-art machine shop with tools capable of
repeat accuracy in the millions of the inch. Operators each have 10 to 20 years
of experience. |
| #4 Finishing. |
After being expertly machined, our nozzles are vacuum heat-treated under
control to maximize wearability. They’re also hand polished at critical
surfaces for the smoothest finish possible. |
| #5 Testing. |
IMS uses all the latest computerized measuring and hardness checking equipment.
When you buy an IMS nozzle, you can be sure you’re getting the same consistent
quality every time. |
